This beachfront resort is a half-mile from St. Armands Circle shops, cafés, and galleries, and three miles from downtown Sarasota, one of Florida’s most culturally vibrant cities.

Lido Beach Resort offers a total of 156 guestrooms and 56 suites. Rooms are in the four-story Main Building. Suites are in the 14-story South Tower. Rooms have kitchenettes and shared balconies. Suites have kitchens and private balconies.   • Turn left onto US-41 (SR-45, Tamiami Trail) and continue south for 3.2 miles to Gulfstream Ave (SR-789).
  • Turn right onto Gulfstream Ave, which becomes John Ringling Blvd.
  • Enter St. Armands Circle.
  • Take the second right off St. Armands Circle onto John Ringling Blvd.
  • Continue southwest to Ben Franklin Dr. Bear left.
  • The resort is at 700 Ben Franklin Dr.


Getting there: Taxi fare to Lido Beach Resort is $16–$20. Rental cars are available online.

Getting around: Walking is a popular way to explore Lido Key. The elegant shops, restaurants, and galleries of St. Armands Circle are a half-mile away and easily reached by walking, driving, or taking the resort’s complimentary shuttle. Horse-drawn carriages offer tours of the island. SCAT (Sarasota County Area Transit) buses travel between Lido Key and downtown Sarasota; fare is 50 cents. Cars are recommended for travel to the farther reaches of the island and to Sarasota.
