This Mediterranean-style hotel was inspired by the village of Portofino on the Italian Riviera. Its piazza offers shops and fine-dining restaurants. The piazza also features the Mandara Spa, a 12,300-square-foot facility that provides massages, body treatments, and facials as well as a fitness center with treadmills, universal machines, free weights, sauna, and steam room (surcharge).
Complimentary transportation for guests includes shuttles and water taxis to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and CityWalk, frequently operating from early morning until after midnight. Also, complimentary daily shuttles transport guests to SeaWorld and Wet ‘n Wild.
Guests receive complimentary Universal Express Ride Access (allowing guests to use express theme park lines), as well as priority reservations at “character dining” experiences at the hotel’s restaurants, and priority seating at select Universal Orlando® restaurants and shows.
There are three outdoor pools, including the hotel’s signature zero-entry beach pool with Roman-aqueduct slide. Other amenities include four spa tubs, a cold-plunge tub, arcade room, bocce ball courts, and jogging paths. Camp Portofino provides evening supervised childcare activities (surcharge).
Hotel keys can be used for charging privileges at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, and neighboring Universal Orlando hotels.

Driving directions from Orlando International Airport:
- From the north end of the airport, take SR 528/Beeline Expwy (toll) west to I-4 E.
- From I-4 E, take Exit #75A/Universal.
- At the first lights after the exit, turn left onto Universal Blvd and hotel is immediately ahead.
Getting there: One-way taxi from the airport is $16-$25; shuttle service per person one way is $16-$25; and Town Car one way is more than $36. The best option is a rental car. Car rentals are available online. All prices are subject to change.
Getting around: Within Universal Orlando, complimentary water taxis and shuttles operate frequently from early morning until after midnight. Complimentary transportation is also provided daily to Wet ‘n Wild Waterpark and SeaWorld. For travel to other destinations outside Universal Orlando, a rental car is the best option.
