What to expect: The distinctive style of the Italian Renaissance was the inspiration for Marco Beach Ocean Resort, located on a white-sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Guests, mostly vacationers, are welcomed in an all-marble lobby with huge pillars, arched hallways, sparkling chandeliers, antique furnishings, and hand-painted murals. A gift shop is located just off the lobby.
