Hyatt Beach House Resort's garden area has a heated, free-form pool and an expansive sand area with thickly padded lounge chairs, picnic tables, and barbecue grills. Jet Skis, kayaks, speedboats, pontoon boats, snorkel and fishing gear can be rented at the on-site water-activities center. Snorkeling, fishing, scuba diving, dolphin-watching excursions, and sunset-cruise excursions can also be arranged. Guests are not permitted to tie boats to the resort's dock but may moor them in the bay near the dock.
A playground is also on site. Other amenities include a self-serve lobby kiosk that provides DVDs and videos for rent and wireless Internet access (surcharge) available throughout the hotel.
Self parking is complimentary, with one free car per unit. Additional cars cost $10 per day (prices subject to change). RVs are not permitted; nor are boat trailers exceeding 20 feet in length.

Rooms
This resort has 74 condominium units in six tan-and-white buildings. The three-story buildings form a U-shape around a central garden open to the Gulf of Mexico. Balconies provide garden views and glimpses of the Gulf. Decor includes hues of cerulean blue and sand and wicker furniture.
The 1,100-square-foot units offer jetted tubs, full kitchens, and private screened balconies. Amenities include three TVs with premium cable channels, VCRs, DVD players, CD players, and washer/dryers. Wireless Internet access is available (surcharge).

Getting there: Taxi fare is based on the number of passengers and costs $5–$15 for two. Rental cars are available from this Web site.
Getting around: The hotel is not within walking distance of Old Town but a commercial shuttle stops near the hotel and loops around Key West and costs $5–$15. Hotel parking is free but once downtown, parking is scarce and streets can be congested, so walking is the best choice. Other options include renting scooters ($16–$25, per day), bicycles (under $5, per day), small electric cars (more than $75, per day), and taking the city bus (under $5, per day for unlimited use).

Maximum occupancy per unit is six.
Free parking is provided for one car per unit. There is a daily parking charge of $10 per day for each additional car.
Motor homes are not permitted.
Boat trailers exceeding 18 feet in length are not permitted.
Guests are not permitted to tie boats to the resort's dock. They are permitted to moor boats in the bay near the dock.
Rollaway beds are not available: cribs and high chairs are complimentary. Both are subject to availability and should be requested at the time of booking.
