This 19-story hotel rises above BeachPlace Mall. (The hotel is not affiliated with the mall.) A tunnel to the beach allows pedestrians to avoid crossing the surface street. Across the street in the other direction are clubs and other nightlife.
A Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and convenience store are on the lobby level. Hotel elevators offer access to shops, restaurants, the pool, and the tunnel to the beach. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all guestrooms and public spaces.
The children’s play center offers organized and “free-play” activities, including a game room, movie nights, sundae-making, tie-dyeing, air hockey, and beach fun. Some activities have a surcharge; many do not.

Each of the hotel’s 206 rooms and villas has a furnished balcony with views of the Atlantic Ocean or the Intracoastal Waterway. Rooms have a bright, modern Florida decor, with ceiling fans, silk plants, light woods, and colorful bedspreads. Rooms are large, ranging from 450 square feet to 1,325 square feet.
Rooms include complimentary wireless Internet access, refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, and in-room safes. - Exit onto Hwy 1 going north into Fort Lauderdale.
- Turn right onto SE 17th St Causeway and turn left onto Cortez St.
- Hotel parking garage is ahead on the right.
- Proceed to P4, and use the intercom at the elevator for entry and assistance.
Getting there: Guests can pre-arrange pick-up for a flat fee of $35 plus 20% gratuity per car (fee subject to change). Metered taxi fare is in the $16–$25 range. Tri County Airport Express operates vans and cars for $5–$15 per person shared and $26–$35 per car for private rides (fees subject to change). Getting around: The hotel is next to a three-story mall and two blocks from the lively shopping, dining, and entertainment area of Las Olas Blvd, so walking is popular. Or guests can hop onto a water taxi to ride along the Intracoastal Waterway and the New River into downtown Fort Lauderdale. The nearest place to catch a water taxi is just behind the hotel. Fares are $5–$15 per day. Fees subject to change without notice.
A car is not necessary except for longer drives. Traveling farther up A1A is scenic but can be slow and other roads in this area near the Intracoastal and ocean may be confusing as roads wind around waterways. However, traffic typically moves smoothly and speedily on a grid pattern east-west and north-south. Parking tends to be scarcer anywhere near the water.
