Getting around: The best way to get around is by car. The beach, visitor attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment areas are all distant. The hotel's location allows for speedy access to I-595 east and west to either coast as well as to major north-south arteries of I-95 and Hwy 1. When visiting downtown, water taxis are a local alternative to driving. They travel the Intracoastal Waterway and the New River into downtown Fort Lauderdale for daily passes of $5–$15 (fee subject to change).
