Situated on the northern portion of Captiva Island, on 2.5 miles of private, white-sand beach, the South Seas Island Resort is four miles from Sanibel Island.
In addition to two marinas, 19 tennis courts, a 9-hole golf course, and 11 pools, the resort has a kids club (ages 4-6 and 7-11) and teens club (ages 12 and over), both with wide range of activities (surcharge). Kids also love the video arcade, with virtual-reality machines and unlimited games for a daily fee.

- Exit Airport (follow signs for I-75) and turn right onto Treeline Ave.
- Continue 2 miles to Daniel’s Parkway – ensure you are in the left lane.
- Turn left onto Daniel’s Parkway and drive for 4.5 miles to Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway – ensure you are in the left lane.
- Turn left onto Six Mile Cypress/Ben C. Pratt Parkway and drive for 4.5 miles to Summerlin Road.
- Take the left exit ramp onto FL-869 (Summerlin Road).
- Stay on Summerlin Road for 8 miles.
- The road will end at the Sanibel-Captiva Island Causeway toll booth. Pay the $6 toll and cross the 3 mile causeway onto Sanibel Island.
- At the 4-way stop yield right onto Periwinkle Way.
- Continue 2.5 miles and turn right onto Palm Ridge Road.
- Continue 0.5 miles to the 4-way stop and go straight through stop sign onto Sanibel Captiva Drive.
- Stay on Sanibel-Captiva Road for 7 miles and cross Blind Pass Bridge onto Captiva Island (the road becomes Captiva Drive).
- Continue on Captiva Drive for 3.5 miles through the village center to the entrance of South Seas Resort which will be on your right.
Getting there: Taxis are approximately $75.
Getting around: South Seas Island Resort rents bicycles and provides trolley service to all destinations on resort grounds, and to Andy Rosse Lane shopping. Rental cars are available online.
