On 1,350 acres, between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, Amelia Island Plantation Villas is home to four championship golf courses: Oak Marsh, Ocean Links, Amelia River (formerly Royal Amelia), and Long Point.
Surrounded by live oaks, the 23-court Racquet Park offers lessons and clinics (surcharge).
In addition to beach activities, the resort has 20 pools including a two-tiered pool deck that faces the ocean at the Amelia Inn & Beach Club.
The Spa at Amelia Island Plantation Villas is a full service spa and salon also offering yoga classes and retreats. Guests have complimentary use of a health club with separate women’s and men’s saunas, steam rooms, and spa tubs.
The Nature Center, staffed by naturalists, offers interpretive presentations and guided programs (surcharges).

Accommodations are privately owned and individually decorated condo-style villas. All have private balconies or patios with ocean or resort views. Spanning the property, condo-style villas have outdoor pools in each complex.

Getting there: Upon 24 hours advance notice, the hotel can arrange for its van to pick up guests from the airport ($80 round-trip).
Getting around: Rental bikes and motorized golf carts are available for getting around the island. The resort offers a complimentary scheduled tram around the grounds from early morning to late evening, or upon demand (based on availability). Resort shuttles ($10) also provide transport to downtown Fernandina Beach (based on availability). Rental cars are available online.
